Mighty Ideas From Strong Roots.

Featured Author:
A. Dubé

A. Dube is an independent investigative author, podcaster, and veteran public school educator who spends her days wrangling middle schoolers and her nights dismantling administrative Potemkin villages.Over a three-decade career in public education, she has taught middle school classrooms across Atlanta, Georgia, as well as the Massachusetts gateway cities of Lawrence, Lynn, and Lowell.A graduate of Lawrence High School, she hails from Lawrence, Massachusetts—a resilient, vibrantly multicultural immigrant city steeped in artistic and cultural heritage. Her alma mater boasts deep literary roots, having been shaped by the legacy of 19th-century poet, author, and educator Emily Greene Wetherbee (who both graduated from and taught at LHS, mentoring a young Robert Frost), alongside the city’s early ties to Leonard Bernstein and the stage legacy of Robert Goulet. She proudly traces her own heritage to the French Canadian community that once formed a foundational cornerstone of the city’s industrial and cultural fabric.Armed with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with a concentration in 18th-century British Restoration literature and a Master’s in School Administration from Kennesaw State University, A. Dube channels the merciless, razor-sharp irony of Jonathan Swift, Alexander Pope, and John Dryden. When she isn't writing, illustrating graphic novels, or producing soundtracks under Red Oak Media, she is rarely sitting still. Her preferred habitat is outdoors: surfing on a longboard, snowboarding (her absolute ride-or-die favorite is her K2 board), rollerblading down bike paths, cycling, and logging enough swim laps to make the local lifeguards question the laws of physics. She shares her life with her partner, Max—a Doctor of Music Theory and professional classical musician who brings actual harmony to the world while she documents municipal discord. She is also the proud parent of two brilliant young adult children, both currently attending university on full scholarships.A. Dube officially celebrates two birthdays each year. The first is December 31, and the second is December 17 - her newly minted, administrative rebirthday gifted courtesy of Captain Dan Unsworth’s exceptionally sloppy charging documents.
